One of my most favorite “pick me up” blogs is Oh Happy Day. As if the name doesn’t say it all just by itself?!? Author, Jordan, is the party-planner extraordinaire! Some of her fêtes are best left to the professionals, or at the very least those with 36 hours to a day. However many of her ideas take your everyday item and give them a new leash on live.
Her feature today, the DIY Confetti Tablecloth, fits snuggly into that second category and seems completely manageable! I think this little delight gracing your kitchen table would make everyday feel like a party.

And really why stop at a table cloth - sheets, curtains and napkins oh my! Who am I to deny boring plain linens their chance to shine?

File this under why didn’t I think of that!?!
What do you think this pretty garland is…can you guess?…… Its a plastic table cloth!!
Turn the fact the, usually annoying, fact plastic that table cloths & plastic bags stretch and pull, into a positive and ruffle those bad-boys up! Check out the DIY over at Cupcakes & Cutlery.
Being born and bred in NY I know good bagels, good deli sandwiches, good black & white cookies and good rainbow cookies!!!
You cannot get them anywhere else in the world that taste as great. * FACT *
I suppose it is this high standard that never allowed me to think about the idea of even trying to bake my own version, but Smitten Kitchen makes me want to give it a try.
She calls them Seven-Layer Cookies, I’m not sure why you would call them such a boring name, when Rainbow Cookies is an option, but hey who am I to judge. I’ll file this one for one day in the future.
And…the post over at Smitten Kitchen was originally made on my birthday, check that out. Clearly me and these cookies are meant to be!
Clearly this original DIY was during the holiday season, but how fab is this for any time of year?? Congrats… happy day… bon voyage… you’re old… love… the word choices are endless! Simple materials and seemingly simple instructions.
